Pike Road Location

Charlotte Sims, Business Manager

CJ was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. Prior to joining the Golden Animal Hospital team in March 2012 as a veterinary assistant, CJ trained and worked as professional pet groomer. Since joining the team, CJ has been present at both locations as both a veterinary assistant and a pet groomer as needed. She received her B.S. degree in Biology in May 2015 from Auburn University at Montgomery. In March 2016, CJ accepted a job offer from the United States Department of Agriculture, but still continued to work part-time at Golden Animal Hospital. In September 2016, CJ returned full-time to Golden Animal Hospital as the bookkeeper. CJ has decided her true passion lies in veterinary medicine and she plans to apply to vet school in the near future. She currently resides in Hope Hull, Alabama with her husband, Tedi Grace (Shetland sheepdog), Niguel (Pembroke Welsh Corgi), and their six rescue cats. CJ is also an avid horsewoman and enjoys riding and showing their many Quarter Horses.

Michelle Blair, Lead Groomer

Michelle was born and raised in Montgomery County. She began her career at Golden Animal Hospital in May 2007 while the hospital was temporarily located at the Montgomery Humane Society due to a tragic fire at the original Atlanta Highway Hospital. She was instrumental in helping get the Atlanta Highway Hospital back on its feet by serving as a receptionist. In October of 2010, she made the move to the Eastchase location where she was promoted to office manager. Since that time, Michelle has worn many hats – training many future employees and keeping the clinic running with her calm demeanor and happy personality.

In 2014 Michelle became interested in furthering her knowledge of animal care and upkeep and she began learning about pet grooming. After several months of practice and encouragement from Dr. Golden and the staff, she was named the lead groomer at the Eastchase location where she enjoys beautifying all the precious fur babies that come to see her.

Michelle currently resides in Wetumpka with her fiancé, DJ, her family and her fur children: Rocky, a Great Dane; Deuce, a Pit Bull mix and Tinkerbell, a (chubby!) Miniature Pincher.

Paige Gonsoulin

PaigeHey! I’m Paige, a receptionist and veterinary assistant. I was born and raised in Montgomery, AL; after spending a year away I decided to come back to pursue a career in animal care. Caring for animals has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl visiting the animal shelter, and falling in love with all of the dogs. I plan to get my Veterinary Technician license in the future to continue to care for animals of all kinds. At home, I have one dog of my own, Kora (a pit bull mix). My parents have 3 Australian Shepherds: Brinks, Ivy, and Juju. My siblings have two cats, Knox and Stella—so we have a full house! Outside of work, I enjoy reading, hiking, comfy days, and time with friends and family.

Chris Howard

ChrisMy name is Chris Howard, and I am from Wetumpka, AL. I recently graduated from Auburn University in May of 2022 with a bachelor degree in Animal Sciences. I plan to attend Vet school at Auburn University next year. I have been a veterinary assistant at Golden Animal Hospital since May of 2021. I desire to become a veterinarian, so that I may learn more about, care for, and treat both large and small animals. Some of my favorite activities are fishing, woodworking, welding, and spending time learning about/studying veterinary medicine.

Avery Johnston

AveryHI, I’m Avery. I usually work at reception, but I’ve also worked in the kennel before too. I was born in Montgomery, AL and currently reside in Wetumpka, AL. I have been at Golden Animal Hospital for almost two years now and have loved it! I hope to obtain my veterinary license in the future. Outside of work I like to read, snuggle with my cats, and spend time with friends and family. I have three cats that I love more than anything. I adopted two of them as rescues that came through the clinic. I love seeing all the fur babies come through the clinic, and look forward to many more!

Brooke Lowery, Marketing

Katelin Ramey

KateHi! My name is Katelin, but mostly everyone calls me Kate! I was born in Kansas, but I moved around a few times due to my dad being in the military. I moved to Montgomery, AL in 2018 to attend Auburn University at Montgomery, where I would study Marketing. I graduated from AUM in May of 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration! I have been at Golden Animal Hospital for almost a year and a half. I started off in the kennel, but I was able to learn how to work in reception and the technician area as well. I now work full-time as a veterinary technician, and I am grateful for this opportunity. I have 5 animals of my own: A Chihuahua named Pepe, a pit bull/beagle/lab mix named Charles, an English coonhound named Lady May, a labradoodle named Ozzy, and a leopard gecko named Jimmy. In my down-time, I like to love on my dogs, take them on walks, and watch TV shows.

Amber K. Smith

AmberHey! My name is Amber Smith. I am currently a veterinary assistant at Golden Animal Hospital. I’ve been here for 3 months and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. I attended Auburn University my Freshman-Junior years and am currently enrolled at Florida A&M University majoring in Animal Science/Pre-Vet. I’ve had a love for animals all my life and taking care of them really means a lot to me. When I’m not working or doing school work, I enjoy spending more time with my two-year- old son, Kamron. During my spare time I also enjoy reading, binge watching shows/movies,and going to pet stores to interact with the animals.

Louden Wilson

LoudonMy name is Louden Wilson, I am currently enrolled in Animal Sciences Pre-Vet at Auburn University. I was born in Montgomery and graduated from Trinity Presbyterian School. I have been a veterinary technician here for four months. I have two dogs at home: a brown lab named Colt, and a yellow lab named Callie. Outside of work I like to play basketball and watch movies.

Sandra Tindoll

SandraI grew up in rural Alabama, but now I live in Montgomery with my sister, Carole Weldon. Since my earliest memories, I have had a passion for helping any kind of animal or bird. My careers have been divided among Social Work, Teaching, and Animal Welfare. I have been a vet- assistant, dog trainer, kennel manager, humane officer, and wildlife rehabilitator. I am a TNR- certified for feral cats. I have worked closely with several animal-related non-profits. I am a co-

founder of PAWS-AL. Dr. Golden has been our partner for many years.

For most of my life I have had an endless parade of orphaned, disabled, and homeless animals—both domestic and wild. For 35 years I also had Springer Spaniels, some of which were rescued. My heart has always been in rescuing and advocating for all species. When I reached my mid-fifties, I got a Masters in the Art of Teaching, with the emphasis on Humane Education and grant-writing.

Because my pets live to very advanced ages and I am also in my later years, my sister and I now have only six very independent cats. Ocean and Sky (siblings) are two-year-old Siamese-mixes. Their half-siblings are Jagger, Mood, and Ladybug, three-year-old Domestic Short Hair’s. All five were born to Leggins, a feral cat, who gave birth in the flower garden. Cam, our 18-year-old

black Domestic Short Hair just wandered into our lives and hearts on Halloween 2010. We also care for three other Community Cats: Dancer-Prancer, Valarie, and Wounded Warrior. In addition to caring for animals, I enjoy flower-gardening, photography, and oil painting.

When I became a Receptionist at Golden Animal Hospital in June of 2022, I felt that my life had come full-circle and I was back in my element. I am so blessed to be a part of the Golden AnimalHospital family and look forward daily to helping out amazing clients and their pets.

Angelina Tucker

AngelinaHi! My name is Angelina Tucker. I’m a senior in high school in Pike Road. I work in our kennel department. I’ve worked here for almost a year, and I’ve loved every second! My love for animals pushed me into the veterinary field and I can’t wait to further my career. In my spare time I ride horses, draw, and read poetry. I have lots of personal pets, but a few favorites are my hound mix Corndog, our shih tzu Lucy, my kitten Milkey, and lastly my puppy Fortune Cookie, whom I raised from 3 days old as an orphaned bottle baby. I enjoy caring for your babies as if they were my own!
